Castle Drago & Teign Gorge

Castle Drago was the last castle to be built in Britain, the castle itself being only 100 years old.

The castle has breathtaking views across Teign Gorge, which offers miles of pathways and routes for you to explore. Spend a day exploring the castle & its pristinely managed gardens, including The Formal Garden which is the biggest garden managed by the National Trust at 250 meters.

Dartmoor National Park

Dartmoor National Park is wild, open moorland rich in history and a destination for rare wildlife.

Whether you’re looking to explore the beauty of Dartmoor by foot or on a bike, there are many easy & challenging routes available for all. Dartmoor also has highly accessible hiking routes having a “miles without stiles” scheme, which offers people with limited mobility the opportunity to explore Dartmoor on mobility scooters or with walking aids.

Exeter

Located only 25 minutes from our park, Exeter has plenty to offer for all of the family. If you’re looking to do a bit of shopping, Exeter has two shopping centres which boast over 60 retail units & restaurants.

You can also discover Exeter’s maritime history by visiting Exeter Quayside which is a great place to relax or dine alfresco.

There are endless outdoor activities for you to enjoy also including Golfing, Fishing, Climbing, Water sports and much more there is something for everyone to enjoy.

Torquay

Torquay is only an hour away from our parks and has been voted one of the UK’s best staycation destination. It provides a fantastic day out whatever you wish to do.

With miles of golden sand beaches and coves, a day by the sea can be finished with some wonderful food & scenery.

There are also many day trips and excursions that run from Torquay with the “English Riveria” being a designated UNESCO Global Geopark.
